Chipie is a French teenage fashion brand founded in 1971 by Jean-Michel Signoles. The story of the brand begins in in the South France, near the famous city of Carcassonne, in December 16, 1967. Young Jean-Michel Signoles (only 17) created the brand Chipie. Initially it included second-hand clothes imported from the United States, before opening his first workshop four years later. From the beginning of the 1970's, Chipie brand began to affirm itself in the world of jeans and youthful clothing. The Chipie jeans label became well-known and appreciated.
