Jessica McClintock Inc. is an American fashion company specializing in bridal and formal wear. The designer behind the brand, Jessica Gagnon McClintock, is a former school teacher with no formal training in fashion design. She used the skills she learned from her seamstress grandmother, and ventured into the fashion world with the purchase of a company called Gunne Sax in 1969. Gunne Sax is most remembered today for their long neo-prairie calico dresses that were an iconic fashion item of the 1970s.
