L'Artisan Parfumeur is a worldwide distributed brand whose original fragrances have delighted perfume connoisseurs and lovers since the 1970s. It was founded in 1976 by chemist and perfumer Jean Laporte, and in 1979, on Rue Grenelle in Paris, the first boutique opened its doors, selling perfume and "amber balls" - carved wooden spheres used as vessels for home fragrance. Just three years after that, the brand's founding father sold it and moved on. A quarter of a century later, in 2015, it was purchased by the Spanish perfumery giant Puig.
