Monsoon is a clothing brand founded by Peter Simon in 1972 in London. The concept was to sell clothes of ethnic vibe from Far East and exotic places from all over the world. Today, this style is labeled “boho chic”. The first Monsoon shop opened in 1973 in Beauchamp Place, Knightsbridge, London. A year later, they launched the famous Accessorize brand of fashion accessories. Later on, the brand expanded with Monsoon Home, Monsoon Boy and Monsoon Men departments. The brand expanded its business through the world quickly. Today there are over 400 Monsoon and Accessorize stores throughout the UK and over 900 outlets in more than 60 countries over the world.
