Parfums Degas were created in late 1940s, linked with US prominent milliner Walter Florell (1911-1986) and his hats. He was born in Berlin and became interested in costume design while dancing professionally with the Berlin Opera Company. He emigrated to the United States in the late 1930s and opened a millinery salon in New York City in 1939. Famous women who wore his custom hats include Greta Garbo, Joan Crawford, Bette Davis, and the Duchess of Windsor. Probably, they got Parfums Degas as presents. Parfums Degas is an old perfume house. Designer Parfums Degas has 2 perfumes in our fragrance base all launched in 1947.
