Roxy is a line of youthful female clothing and accessories launched by popular surfing-themed brand Quiksilver. The Roxy brand debuted in 1990 with a line of swimwear. Sales were successful enough that an entire sportswear line was launched the next year. The company helped popularize surfwear for women, in particular with its launch of the first women's boardshort garment that was popular both in and out of the water. The brand's distinctive heart-shaped logo is a variation on the original Quiksilver wave logo. Roxy grew into a lifestyle brand in the 1990s, expanding into children's clothing and accessories.
