Woods of Windsor brand of fragrances comes from a small apothecary opened in 1770, located in the shadow of Windsor Castle, a medieval castle in the English county of Berkshire. The apothecary became very respected due to its services to the Royal Family. The story begins when a fascinating collection of archived perfume recipes, old texts, prescription books and medical artifacts were found in the attic of the Windsor store, during a renovation in 1970s. Due to these fragrance recipes, Woods of Windsor name was revived and the new range of signature English floral fragrances was created using the old formulations.
