Top notes are Violet Leaves, Green Notes, Tunisian Neroli, Hedione, Calabrian bergamot and Petitgrain; middle notes are Hay, Violet, Star Anise, Mimosa, Styrax, Orris, Lily of the Valley, Carnation, Damask Rose and Egyptian and Indian Jasmine; base notes are Birch, Mousse de Saxe, Animal notes, Woody Notes, Leather, Yellow Narcissus, Castoreum, Indian Sandalwood, Benzoin, Beeswax, Labdanum, Musk, Honey and Balsam Fir. Pnoi in Greek is such a complex word with too many literal and metaphorical meanings and interpretations... Always positive though, with some of the most commonly encountered being: breath (human’s breath with the help of lungs), pleasant air current, force of wind and also inspiration. Therefore, I was inspired to create my most complex formula thus far (267 raw materials), trying to achieve a composition with incredible versatility and agreeable wearability. Many beloved people whom I met at Esxence 2024, Pitti Fragranze 2023, TFWA 2023, Paris Perfume Week 2024 and other official and/or unofficial perfumery gatherings had the chance to try this composition, bearing my lab code name Derma. Pnoi is a powdery/ violet smooth leather composition in 26% concentration, a melange of my most favorite facets and techniques I learnt in modern and classical perfumery. 26% Concentration, 30ml. Tête: Petitgrain Bigaratier, Bergamot Calabria (Crude & FCF), Violet Leaves Absolute Egypt, Neroli Oil Tunisia, Hedione HC, Green Breeze. Cœur: Orris Butter 15% infused in 2 different Jasmin Grandiflorum Absolutes (India & Egypt), Rosa Damascena Absolute infused in Violet Accord, Muguet Accord, Star Anise, Styrax Resinoid, Hay Absolute, Mimosa Absolute, Carnation Accord. Fond: 7 years aged Sandalwood Oil From East India (Santalum Album), Deadwood W. Australia, Castoreum (Reconstruction), Beeswax Absolute, Cistus Labdanum Absolute, Jonquille Accord, Fir Balsam Absolute, Mousse de Saxe, Musc (Synthetic Accord), Animalis, Honey infused Benzoin, Leather Accord, White Birch rectified oil.
