Alessandro Gualtieri is an Italian perfumer who is known for his avant-garde approach to creating fragrances. He learned perfumery through a combination of formal studies in Germany and outside lessons from an Italian ex-pat he met at a bar. He built his reputation by working with major fashion brands such as Fendi, Versace, Helmut Lang, and Diesel before founding his own perfume line, Nasomatto, in Amsterdam.
