“I was destined to be a perfumer,” says Patricia Bilodeau. But hard work and bold determination clearly had something to do with her fate. Born and bred in the state of New York, she found her calling as a teenager during a summer job at a fragrance lab and has whole heartedly committed to it since then. After learning to develop fragrances by the traditional method through a formal apprenticeship at Florasynth, she pursued her career at Dragoco and then Creations Aromatiques, which became Symrise, audaciously making her way in a profession still thought by some to be a man’s world.
