Born in Nice in 1935, Raymond Chaillan grew up in Barrême, surrounded by his grandfather's lavender fields and bee hives. This exposure to nature's scents and beauty cultivated his fascination with the world of fragrance. In 1962, he began his career at Antoine Chiris in Grasse, where he honed his skills and was eventually promoted to perfumer. In 1969, Raymond Chaillan moved to Paris to work for Roure Bertrand Dupont. He continued to refine his craft at various renowned perfume houses, including Firmenich and Dragoco.
