Ursula Wandel, a highly regarded perfumer and Vice President of Fine Fragrance at Givaudan, discovered her passion for perfumery through a combination of curiosity and her background in chemistry. Initially interested in photography, Wandel's desire to explore led her to the prestigious Givaudan perfumery school in Geneva. At the school, Wandel spent the first year acquainting herself with around 3,000 natural and synthetic raw materials. In her second year, she honed her skills by imitating well-known perfumes, like a painter studying the old masters.
