Born in England, Mark Buxton's fascination with fragrance began when he grew up near Hamburg. Over 20 years ago, he fell in love with Paris, a city that would later become the epicenter of his career as a perfumer. Buxton has many passions, including love for wine, culinary arts, and antiques, particularly those with an art deco flair. A chance encounter on a German game show, where a 21-year-old Buxton and a friend attempted to identify 600 perfumes in a blind test, led to representatives from Haarmann & Reimer (now Symrise) offering him a slot in their prestigious training program in Paris.
