Nutt Wesshasartar is a Thai perfumer who learned the art of traditional perfumery from his family, who have been making sacred Thai ceremonial fragrances since 1928. Inspired by his heritage and cultural curiosity, he began teaching himself modern perfumery in 2018, with a particular focus on storytelling through scent. In 2025, he won the Art and Olfaction Award in the Artisanal category. For Nutt, perfumery is a form of storytelling—a way to communicate across cultural boundaries and create shared emotional spaces through scent. He believes that each formula is a journey, filled with creative and cultural challenges, and this very complexity is what makes perfumery so fulfilling.
